Cardiff Castle has welcomed many great performers so far in summer 2024 and there are still some gigs left to go at the iconic Welsh landmark. This includes Two Tone legends Madness who are performing at the castle on Thursday, July 18.
Known for their hits like House of Fun, It Must Be Love and Our House the eccentric band are formed of Chris Foreman on guitar, Mike Barson on keyboards, piano, percussion, backing vocals, Lee Thompson on saxophone, percussion, vocals, Graham “Suggs” McPherson as the vocals, Dan Woodgate on drums and percussion and Mark Bedford on bass.
In 2023 Madness released their latest album Theatre of the Absurd Presents C’est la Vie and it was the bands first ever number one studio album. Here is everything you need to know about their gig at Cardiff Castle.
Gates for the gig open at 5pm and entry is via the north gate in Bute Park. Last entry for the show is 8.30pm.
Madness are being joined by pop rock band The Hoosiers, who are known for their hits Worried About Ray, Choices and Goodbye Mr A. The band was formed in Indianapolis in 2003 and there is currently two members in the band Alan Sharland on drums and Irwin Sparkes on lead vocals and guitars. The Hoosiers will perform from 7.45pm to 8.30pm and Madness will take to the stage at 9pm, performing until 10.30pm.
