La Luna
BACKGROUND
Chris: ‘La Luna’ was the only song I wrote on the album. We’d been playing it live before we recorded it, and [bassist] Graham Bush and Woody had this bit that was quite heavy, and I didn’t like it. And we recorded the version on the album, and then when we were with Owen Morris we recorded a different version, and I obviously preferred the different version. It was the one song of mine on the album, but I couldn’t have any influence over it.
Mike: ‘La Luna’ was a great song. Cathal was involved very much with that, getting the mariachi band in.
Woody: It was exciting, and completely bonkers – I love all the brass and percussion. I wish they’d been in the studio when we recorded it. We would have needed a fuck of a lot of mic channels.
