Our House EP
BACKGROUND
The 12″ maxi-single was released by Geffen in support of the 1983 U.S. release Madness, which spawned the band’s only Top Ten single in the States, “Our House.” The single contains two unremarkable Mark Kamins remixes of the song. The “Special Remix — Extended Dance Version” is very similar to the “Stretch Mix” on the box set The Business. It relies too heavily on the unimpressive gimmick of repeating lyric snippets in a way that leads the listener to fear that the record has been severely scratched. “Mad House — Our House Instrumental Dub Version” applies pretty much the same method and takes out most of Suggs’ vocals.
