LYRICS

You Can Do It On The Kitchen Floor
Hanging On The Bathroom Door
Cos You Know What I’m Living For
Cos I Got You

You Can Do It On The Kitchen Floor
Hanging On The Bathroom Door
Cos You Know What I’m Living For
Cos I Got You

Sometimes You Feel So Low
You Know That You’re Loosing Your Mind
You Feel So Innocent
But You Know That The Feelings Are Blind

Cos You Can Do It On The Kitchen Floor
Hanging On The Bathroom Door
Yes You Know What I’m Living For
Cos I Got You

I Know Your Little Games
But I Don’t Want To Play Them No More
You Stay Out Every Night
And Still You Come, And You Cry At My Door

Cos You Can Do It On The Kitchen Floor
Hanging On The Bathroom Door
Yes You Know What I’m Looking For
Cos I Got You

Sometimes You’ll Feel So Low
You Know That You’re Loosing Your Mind
You Feel So Innocent
But You Know That The Feelings Are Blind

Cos You Can Do It On The Kitchen Floor
Hanging On The Bathroom Door
Yes You Know What I’m Living For
Cos I Got You

OVERVIEW

Woody: ‘Kitchen Floor’ was the first of a bunch of songs I wrote with my brother Nick. He absolutely cannot stop writing songs. He makes things quite simplistic, and his songs can be monotone – he doesn’t resolve melodic lines. But that’s great, because I want to complete his stuff, expand on his world. I’m rubbish with a blank sheet of paper – Nick sends me stuff, and suddenly I’m baited. I need that seed. He frustrates me, but that’s fantastic – if I’m not frustrated that the song isn’t going anywhere, then I’m not inspired to care enough about the song. For a good few years now, he’s been off doing his own thing with his own band, the Mojo Man, and I think it’s maybe healthier that way.
